Overview

BMB2026 will bring together two of Japan’s major life science societies in a joint scientific meeting spanning molecular biology and biochemistry. The theme “Resonance” expresses the aim of creating an environment where researchers from different disciplines, generations, and scientific backgrounds can inspire one another and generate new discoveries, collaborations, and networks. The program will include symposia, oral presentations, science pitches, poster presentations, forums, networking events, and initiatives supporting early-career researchers.

The BMB2026 Special Symposium, co-organized with the American Society for Cell Biology and EMBO, will feature internationally recognized scientists presenting cutting-edge research and future perspectives in their respective fields.

Presentations and Participation

• All accepted general abstracts include a mandatory poster presentation
• Selected presenters may also be invited to give an oral presentation or science pitch
• Science pitches are available to students and postdoctoral fellows
• All abstracts, posters, and presentation slides must be prepared in English
• The spoken presentation language may be selected by each presenter
• Regular and student members of the Biophysical Society of Japan may register and submit abstracts under member categories
• Late-breaking abstracts will be accepted for poster presentations only
