General Abstract Submission

• Presentation Formats: Oral presentation or paper-based poster presentation
• Meeting Format: Presenters must attend the meeting venue on the day of their presentation
• Abstract Language: Abstracts submitted by physicians are required to be written in English
• Presentation Language: English or Japanese
• Eligibility: The first author should generally be a JSCO member
• Exceptions: Invited speakers, overseas applicants, non-physician medical staff, and students may submit without JSCO membership
• Notification: Acceptance, presentation format, date, and time are scheduled to be announced in late August 2026

JSCO Frontier Symposium

The JSCO Frontier Symposium is intended to establish the JSCO Annual Meeting as a platform for presenting groundbreaking evidence from clinical trials and other previously unpublished research.

• Submission Deadline Listed by the Official Guidelines: August 7, 2026, at 12:00 noon JST
• Language: English for abstracts, slides, presentations, and question-and-answer sessions
• Presentation Time: Approximately 10–15 minutes per abstract, including discussion
• Research Requirement: Abstracts must contain new information that has not previously been presented
• Research Areas: Gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary and pancreatic, respiratory, urological, gynecological, head and neck, surgical, rare cancer, and other oncology fields
• Format: Hybrid participation, combining on-site and online attendance
• International Access: Participants outside Japan attending only the Frontier Symposium online may participate without charge, subject to advance registration

Encore Abstracts

AOS2026 Concurrent Congress

The 6th International Congress of the Asian Oncology Society will be held concurrently with JSCO2026 at the same venue and on the same dates. The congress will bring together oncology professionals from across Asia and will promote multidisciplinary collaboration, advances in cancer treatment, and international exchange.

Patient Advocate Leadership Program

The Patient Advocate Leadership program is designed for individuals and organizations supporting patients with cancer and their families. Participants learn about current cancer care and research and apply the knowledge gained through the meeting to patient support and advocacy activities.

• Application Period: May 18–June 26, 2026, at 17:00 JST
• Application Status: Applications have closed after reaching the capacity of 70 participants
• Purpose: To improve knowledge of cancer care and strengthen patient and family support activities
• Important Note: The program is not intended to provide individual medical consultations or second opinions

Awards

• Excellent Abstracts and Best Abstracts Awards: Selected from eligible general abstracts
• Plenary Presentation: Authors of Best Abstracts will be invited to deliver an oral presentation in English or Japanese
• Young Oncologist Award: For eligible JSCO member physicians aged 40 or younger as of March 31, 2026
• Medical Staff Award: For eligible abstracts submitted by nurses, pharmacists, radiological technologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other non-physician medical professionals

Overview

Under the theme “One team to Conquer Cancer,” the meeting will connect clinicians, researchers, medical staff, patient advocates, and other professionals involved in oncology. Discussions will address rapidly developing fields such as cancer genomics, immunotherapy, robotic-assisted surgery, radiation therapy, ctDNA, artificial intelligence, and translational research, with the aim of improving treatment outcomes and developing future standards of cancer care.
